Pb Govt sanctions Rs 3.70 crore for building roads in Mohali

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today sanctioned Rs 3.70 crore for construction of new roads in Mohali and asked officials to ensure optimum utilisation of this fund.
Presiding over a meeting to review the development works of Mohali here, he said the construction of new roads would help in assuring hassle-free movement for the commuters besides saving their time, money and energy.
Badal said the government is making all out efforts to ensure holistic development of all towns in the state.
Referring to a demand made by Lok Sabha MP Prem Singh Chandumajra, the CM assured him that the government would take up the matter of increasing the frequency of bus service between Chandigarh-Mohali, with the UT administration.

Badal underscored the need to expedite the process of constructing houses for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of the society and asked officers to make efforts on war footing for providing houses to the poor at the earliest.
