Pb govt to transfer scholarship money to students' accounts

In a bid to transfer scholarship amount into the bank accounts of beneficiaries without any delay, Punjab government today asked the students to link their accounts with Aadhaar cards.
This has been initiated to credit the scholarships online in a transparent manner, an official spokesman said here.
The state government provides different kinds of scholarships to SC, BC and minority students and the amount is being transferred directly into their bank accounts, he said.
As per the new instructions, all the beneficiary students are now required to link their bank accounts with Aadhaar cards, he said.
