The governors of Punjab and Haryana have cancelled 'At Home' function in the wake of the demise of their Chhattisgarh counterpart Balramji Dass Tandon today.
'At Home' function is the annual reception held at the Raj Bhavan as part of Independence Day celebrations on August 15.
Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki cancelled the 'At-Home' function to be held at Haryana Raj Bhavan, here on August 15, said an official release.
Similarly, Punjab Governor V P Singh Badnore also cancelled the function which was to be held at Punjab Raj Bhavan tomorrow.
Solanki expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members of Tandon and prayed the Almighty to rest the soul in peace.
Tandon died after suffering a heart attack in Raipur today. He was 90.
