The decision to re-name the stadium was taken "unanimously" in the General Body Meeting of the association here, PCA spokesperson Sushil Kapoor said.
PCA secretary M P Pandove informed the house of the contribution of Bindra in bringing to the stadium all cricketing facilities and making it the best in the country for a long time.
Pandove said that the efforts of Bindra had helped PCA to set up its headquarters at Mohali.
"The house appreciated the contribution of Bindra and on suggestion of the honorary secretary unanimously approved the name for the PCA Stadium," Kapoor said.
Kapoor said Pandove informed the members that PCA was committed to the welfare of its former players and announced that the players drawing monthly gratis from the association would get a raise of 50 per cent in their gratis from April 1, 2015.
