A resolution to this effect was adopted at a meeting of the executive committee here yesterday. It also urged the party cadre to strive to secure an impressive win for Narayanasamy.
Narayanasamy, the Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, was elected to Lok Sabha in 2009 from Puducherry. Prior to that, he was a member of Rajya Sabha for three terms - 1985-1991, 1991-97 and 2003-09.
He has also played a part in introducing 14 trains linking Puducherry to distant state capitals and metropolitan cities, PPCC added.
In view of "the dedicated work" done by Narayanasamy, the party is backing him to defend his Puducherry Lok Sabha seat, he said.
Mounting a scathing attack on the AINRC government here, another resolution alleged that the N Rangasamy ministry had failed on several counts.
