The victims, Ghanshyam, was walking when an AC luxury bus hit him and later skid away into a nearby trench.
"The pedestrian died on the spot. The incident occurred near Bedakhedi in Sehore district on Indore-Bhopal highway," Ashta police station in-charge B D Veera said.
The visibility was said to be less than 10-ft on the road this morning. The bus was running fast despite the foggy weather, police said.
The traffic, meanwhile, remained slow on the highway in the morning due to heavy fog.
