The 42-year-old actor may play the antagonist in the film, which stars Denzel Washington in the lead, reported Variety.
While Washington will reprise his role as Robert McCall, a former special ops agent who helps those who cannot defend themselves, the details of Pascal's character are currently unknown.
The film will also see Antoine Fuqua returning as director.
The sequel to the 2014 movie is slated to hit the screens on September 14, 2018.
Pascal, who tasted success post "Game of Thrones", currently stars in the third season of "Narcos".
