"E-singles are Penguin's short, digital-only reads meant for people who, while sometimes short on time, are fond of reading and would like to catch up with their favourite authors in convenient, byte-sized stories which can be easily completed in the course of a daily commute or in a lunch-hour," says a company official.
Beginning with 20 stories by Sudha Murthy and a series of short stories from up and new coming authors like Ravinder Singh there a bouquet of 47 e-singles is the initial offering by the company, which says it intends to expand the catalogue to include poetry, short non-fiction, plays and fiction.
Priced at Rs 25 per story these e-singles titles are already available on Flipkart and soon be available on Google Books.
