'Pensioners under EPFO to get health benefits through ESIC'

Pensioners under Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) will be provided health benefits through the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya said here today.
Speaking after inaugurating a new regional PF office at Kukatpally here, he also said the provident fund payments would be done through online internet banking for the benefit of workers.
The Centre is committed for the social security of the poor and workers in the country, he said.
Separate zonal offices have been set up for Odisha, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, according to an official release.
