PESB invites applications for HIL CMD

The Centre has invited applications for the top post of Hindustan Insecticides (HIL) for a period of five years or up to the date of superannuation, in the pay scale of Rs 65,000-75,000.
As per the office memorandum of Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB), the minimum age of applicant for the post of CMD should be 40 years and maximum 58 in case the candidate is from within the company, and 57 for outsiders.
The applicant should be an officer of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSE), central government, armed forces or from All India Services, on regular basis with graduation from a recognised university besides fulfilling the age requirement.
"The PESB is seeking qualified candidates for the post of CMD, HIL in schedule "C" of the CPSE, the pay scale being Rs 65,000-75,000," the memorandum said.
The last date for submitting the application is May 13.
HIL was incorporated in 1954 for manufacturing DDT and its formulations for meeting the demand of National Malaria Eradication Programme launched by the Centre.
The company has also diversified into agro business over a period of time. The company is operating in all three key agro inputs - agro chemicals, seeds and fertilisers.
The authorized and paid up capital of the company was Rs 100 crore and Rs 91.33 crore respectively as on March 31, 2015.
Recently, HIL has forayed into the fertiliser business by signing an agreement with PSUs NFL and RCF and is aiming Rs 150 crore from urea sales over the next two years.
