Every one in two organisations in India have been hit by phishing emails and 48 per cent of victims of cyber attacks suffered a data breach, IT security firm Sophos report said on Thursday.
"54 per cent of those who fell victim to a cyberattack were hit by a phishing email, 39 per cent by ransomware and 48 per cent said they suffered a data breach," Sophos India and SAARC MD sales, Sunil Sharma said.
Sophos surveyed 300 business organisation in India and overall 3,100 IT managers across 12 countries having workforce in the range of 100-5,000. The survey was conducted by a third party between December 2018 and January 2019 commissioned by Sophos.
