PI Industries will market BASF's fungicide solutions for rice, maize, fruits and vegetables as well as a new herbicide for maize.
Following this partnership, both the companies aim to enhance their market participation in these crops segments, a joint statement issued here said.
"BASF and PI Industries have been working as partners in crop protection for the past two decades. We now aim to elevate our relationship to a more strategic level.
PI Industries has a significant footprint in the crop protection market and a strong model for growth," BASF Asia Pacific senior vice-president for crop protection Gustavo Palerosi Carneiro said.
PI Industries has built leading brands over the last 60 years with multi-locational manufacturing facilities, including Jambusar SEZ in Gujarat.
