Pidilite appoints Bharat Puri as Managing Director

Pidilite Industries today said it has appointed Bharat Puri as Managing Director, effective from April 10, 2015.
Puri was the independent director of the company since 2008.
Prior to his appointment, he was the president for Global Chocolate, Gum and Candy Categories at Mondelez International, based in Zurich.
Pidilie Industries Chairman and Managing Director M B Parekh will step down from position of Managing Director on April 10, the company said in a statement.
It added that joint Managing Director N K Parekh will step down on April 1 and assume the post of Non-Executive Vice Chairman.

Built around the themes of 'driver safety' and 'owner savings', the new category of Anti Lift Tractor (ALT), made specifically for commercial haulage operators, are available in two models: ALT 4000 and ALT 3500, company officials said.
This is ALT technology version 1.0, which Escorts is planning to extend further to newer versions 2.0 and 3.0 in the long run to bring even more safe, robust and efficient products for this growing segment, they said.
