Plumber commits suicide after attacking his wife and daughters

A plumber allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a building after hitting his wife and two daughters with a rod in their sleep at Balanagar area here. Resulting in the death of one of the girls, the police said hee today.
The incident occured last night when one B Ramulu, allegedly hit his wife Kishtamma and his two daughters Bhavani and Shivani with a rod on their heads while they were sleeping in their house, after which he went to a nearby building and allegedly jumped to death, the police said.
"While Bhavani (15) died in the incident, Kishtamma and Shivani are undergoing treatment," the police said.

Preliminary investigations indicated that Ramulu resorted to the act due to financial problems.
Balanagar police said that a case has been registered and the matter is being probed further.
