"Gajendra's death has saddened the nation. We are deeply shattered and disappointed. Condolences to his family," he said in a tweet while referring to the suicide committed by the farmer at a rally here.
"At no point must the hardworking farmer think he is alone. We are all together in creating a better tomorrow for the farmers of India," he added.
Gajendra Singh, a farmer from Dausa in Rajasthan, committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in full public view in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at an Aam Aadmi Party rally.
