"Its been two and a half years now but Modiji has not been able to fulfil any of his poll promise...None of the bank accounts got the promised Rs 15 lakhs but Mallya was able to escape from the country," Rahul Gandhi said while addressing a meeting of farmers at Mauraipur here this evening.
Rahul who arrived here on the 10th day of "Deoria to Dilli kisan Yatra" reiterated "Kisan trast, Modiji mast" and vowed that he will make the prime minister listen to the woes faced by farmers.
Congress party wants that farmers loans are waived off, their power bills are cut by half and they get the right price of their produce, Rahul said adding that Modi has not done anything in farmers' interest so far.
"Though he has waived off loans of the capitalists, he has not done the same for farmers," he said.
