Participating in the debate on the budget in the Rajya Sabha, Neeraj Shekhar of the Samajwadi Party said he was in agreement with the Prime Minister over the issue of those selling 'pakodas' being equal to others and the dignity of labour attached to it.
However, when a Pakoda seller saves his hard earned money to educate his child to become an engineer or a doctor, will he want his child to follow his footsteps, Shekhar asked.
He observed that 13 crore youth are eligible to vote in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections will give a befitting reply to the BJP on the issue of jobs.
While Shah was present in the House at the time of the comment, Modi was not there.
