"Presented President Park Geun-hye two finely woven pashmina stoles in which Rabindranath Tagore's poem for Korea is hand embroidered," Modi tweeted.
"The poem Gurudev Tagore specially wrote for Korea is hand embroidered in English and Korean," he said in another tweet.
Tagore's poem on Korea, embroidered on the beige-coloured stoles, was published in 1929 in the Korean daily 'Dong-A Ilbo'.
Prime Minister Modi and South Korean President Park held discussions on a wide range of issues today to take the bilateral ties to a qualitatively higher level.
President Park also held a banquet in Prime Minister Modi's honour.
At the banquet, a cultural programme was organised where children sang the hindi song "Chal Chal Chal Mere Saathi".
Modi lavished praise on President Park at the banquet, saying, "President Park you are a deeply admired leader in the region and the world. You have drawn personal strength from adversity. And, you have sought peace with persistence and wisdom."
"Your commitment to the relationship with India is a source of strength for us. Each time we have spoken, you have shown great awareness of our big opportunities; and, you have spoken with clarity about the roadmap ahead," he said.
