PMK moves HC for police protection to its leader

Madras High Court was today moved seeking continuation of police protection to PMK founder leader Dr S Ramadoss and his son and former Union Minister Anbumani Ramadoss.
When the petition by PMK President G K Mani came up for hearing, Justice K K Sasidharan posted it to August 5.
The petitioner submitted that Ramadoss and his son were being given round-the-clock police protection for the past 15 years in view of perceived threat to them.
However, the protection was suddenly withdrawn by the authorities from April 26, he said pleading the court for urgent orders to restore police protection.
