This was announced by Gangadhar Rath Foundation Trust here today. The Trust has been giving away the Samman every year to renowned persons in the field of Odia literature and it carries a cash prize of Rs one lakh, a filigree memento of the Sun Temple of Konark and a citation.
The Samman would be conferred on the poet by former Supreme Court judge Justice Arijit Pasayat at a function here on March 15.
The Trust would also felicitate journalist and social worker Manorama Mohapatra on the occasion with Gangadhar Rath Smaraki Samman for her work.
The Subrat Rath Smaraki Purashkar of the Trust would be shared between Sahadev Sahoo and Rabinarayan Moharana, who would get cash prizes of Rs 10,000 each, said a release issued by the Trust.
