During checking, the police intercepted a vehicle carrying bovines at Dhangri in Kali Dhab today, a police officer said.
"Upon checking, we found six bovines that were later rescued, and the smuggler arrested," he said.
In another case, a team of police personnel, working on specific input, conducted special checking at Chatyari during which they seized a vehicle and rescued two bovines. The smugglers were however successful in giving police the slip.
In the third case, police rescued eight bovines during checking at Kalidhab last evening.
Police have registered separate cases and initiated further investigations in all three cases.
