Superintendent of Police Vikash Barman said a police team acting on a tip off raided the place and arrested the two naxalites who were trying to escape towards a nearby jungle.
The arrested naxalites were wanted in a criminal case of demanding extortion from a contractor, the SP said adding that a number of naxalites including the two indulged in loot and arson putting several vehicles of the contractor on fire when the contractor failed to give extortion.
A case was lodged with Sirdala police station of the district in this connection in which 50 naxalites including the two were named in the incident.
