Vinod Sharma who worked as a financier was shot by a group of 4-5 hired killers who had pumped 8 bullets in his body as he was sitting alone in his office on October 23.
Sharma later succumbed to his injuries in a private hospital. A case of murder was registered at Geeta Colony and an investigation was undertaken.
Police found during investigation that Sharma had some disputes as he used to lend money and his associate Akash Chauhan was found absconding.
During interrogation, Akash confessed his involvement in Sharma's murder. He had paid Rs 7 lakh to the killers whom he had hired for killing Sharma.
He also claimed that he was suffering heavy losses due to Sharma and wanted to get rid of him.
