Police busts vehicle lifter gang, 13 vehicles seized

With the recovery of 13 vehicles and arms, police today claimed to have busted a gang of five vehicle lifters from Goverdhan Road falling under Barsana police station in this district.
"Nine tractors, four cars, two country-made pistols and live cartridges have been recovered from the possession of mastermind Mahadeo and four of his associates," SSP Dr Rakesh Singh told reporters here.
On a tip off, police nabbed Mahadeo from between Dahrauli and Seeh villages and recovered a Bolero from his possession.
On his disclosure, police nabbed Ram Niwas Sharma alias Ballabh, Jaisriram, Raju and Bhagwan Singh alias Ajai while four other associates managed to escape.

The gang was planning to sell the vehicles and were looking for a good purchaser, police said quoting Mahadeo.
SSP has rewarded the police team with a sum of Rs 5,000 for the arrest.
