The constable, identified as Ramakant Panda (40), was found hanging at his residence in the morning, Orchha police station in-charge Dilip Singh Yadav told PTI.
Ramakant's daughter called up Yadav to inform that he was not responding on his mobile phone since yesterday following which she got suspicious.
Later, a police team went to his residence and broke open the window to enter the house.
Police found the constable's body hanging from a ceiling fan in his room.
A case has been registered in this regard and further investigation is on, police added.
