The Rajasthan anti-corruption bureau today arrested a police head constable for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 for removing the names of three accused from an FIR in Alwar district of Rajasthan.
The accused head constable, Gambhir Singh, posted with the Ramgarh police station, had allegedly demanded the bribe from one Iliyas Mev to remove the names of three accused from a case lodged with the police station, said Anti Corruption Branch inspector, Alwar, I Mahendra Kumar.
After the verification of the complaint, a trap was laid and the accused was caught while taking the bribe.
The accused has been arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
