An ACB official said that Assistant Police Inspector (API) Satishchandra Rathod, 37, of Shivajinagar police station in Mankhurd was booked under section 15 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
He said that the complainant, who had been directed by court to mark his attendance in Shivajinagar police station, approached ACB Mumbai saying that the API was demanding a computer printer.
After verification of the complaint revealed that Rathod had attempted to obtain a computer printer as gratification, an offence was registered against him, the official said. A probe is currently underway, he added.
