Acting on a tip off, a police team intercepted the van and nabbed the trio and rescued the driver who was held capive, Superintendent of Police Jitendra Rana said.
Police recovered one pistol, three cartridges and three mobile phones from them.
The SP said, the miscreants had tied the driver Surendra Mahto with a rope and hid him under the seat.
They were going to sell-off the van to a gang that was in the business of buying and selling stolen vehicles in Bettiah.
