Police seeks attachment proceedings in land grab case

A day after a revenue clerk was suspended in connection with the land grabbing case at Hastinapur Sanctuary, police today sought attachment proceedings from a local court against the 15 other people absconding in the case.
An application was moved in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Sitaram by inspector Gajender Singh demanding the attachment proceedings under Section 82 of CrPC against the absconding people including main accused, Rahul Kumar and Gorav Kumar.
Clerk Shiv Kumar was suspended for his involvement in the government land grabbing case at Khatoli on Monday,
Previously, three revenue clerks Jaibhagwan, Promod and Ramesh Kumar were suspended in this connection.
Meanwhile, the then Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Jansath Devender Kumar, then tehsildar Bharat Bhushan were also booked in connection with the case.
So far, 1200 bigha government land has been freed from unauthorised possession, out of which sugarcane crop grown on 600 bigha was later found by the district authorities.
