Police seize two sand laden lorries, arrest three

Two tipper lorries transporting illegally mined sand were seized and three persons were arrested at a village near here today, police said.
Theevattypatty police during a vehicle check, seized the lorries from Cauvery river bed at Poraiyur and arrested the three under sections (punishment for theft) and 4(1) of mines minerals Act, they said.
