Police seizes 600 cartons of liquor

A total of 600 cartons of illicit liquor, worth Rs 35 lakh, allegedly being smuggled from Haryana to Uttar Pradesh, were seized and two persons were arrested from Bidoli police check post on UP-Haryana border in Shamli district, police said.
The illicit liquor were being smuggled in a truck, which was intercepted and seized by the police at the border under Jhinjhana Police station area in Shamli district, Circle Officer (CO) Waseem Khan said.
Two people, identified as Anis and Furkan were arrested, who during interrogation, they said that liquor was being smuggled from Haryana to Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh.
