PSI J M Jadeja, posted at Delhi Gate police chowki, had demanded a bribe of Rs 10 lakh to expedite probe into a cheating complaint filed by Paras Vasani, an ACB official said.
Vasani in his complaint had alleged that a chit fund company had duped several persons of several lakh rupees and wanted police to register an FIR and arrest the culprits, the official added.
Jadeja, however, demanded Rs 10 lakh from him to expedite investigation into the case, he said, adding the PSI was nabbed while accepting Rs 1.25 lakh which was being paid to him in instalment.
