Gangadhar, addressing a press conference said that 3,500 staffers were engaged to expedite the work of power restoration in the cyclone-ravaged district.
Power supply has been restored and 2,83,636 service connections repaired in 491 villages of 24 mandals of Visakhapatnam district, he said.
The official said that during the work, staffers of the electricity board in East Godavari tirelessly worked in the power restoration process in the neighbouring district.
In East Godavari district, repair works worth Rs seven crore was undertaken in affected Thondagi, Tuni, Kotananduru areas, he said.
