Prakash Mishra new Odisha DGP

He will replacing Manmohan Praharaj, officials said.

Mishra, a 1977 batch IPS officer, posted as National Disaster Response Force Director General, is expected to join within four days, Chief Secretary B K Patnaik told reporters here today.

Praharaj, who was the DGP since 2008, had been posted as the home guards and fire service director general, the post of which was laying vacant after retirement of B B Mohanty.

Mishra also had a stint as a special director of the National Investigation Agency.
