Yesterday, the ministry had amended an order appointing Veena Jain as DG of DD News cum OSD in the I&B ministry.
The appointment order had initially said that Jain would report to the ministry "for all purposes" but then modified it and said that she she would report to Prasar Bharati for "all operational purposes" and to the ministry as officer on special duty.
