Officials said during the current visit of South Korean President Park Geun-Hye, Korean Minister for Science, ICT and Future Planning Choi Mun-Kee and Prasar Bharati CEO Jawhar Sircar had a meeting accompanied by their officials.
After this, a formal agreement was signed today between Doordarshan and Korea International Broadcasting Foundation which covers various areas.
The Korean minister expressed hope for a deeper cultural understanding between India and South Korea, while Sircar pressed for Samsung and LG to start preparing for streaming 'TV on mobile' through Doordarshan's latest digital technology DVB-T2, officials said.
