Assembly T N Pratapan, has been chosen for the Kerala Mappila Kala Academy's "Ishal Ratnam award" for his contributions in the social and cultural fields.
Speaking to mediapersons Thalassery K Rafeeq, State General Secretary of Kerala Mappila Kala Academy, said the award carrying a cash prize money of Rs 50,001, plaque and a citation would be bestowed on Pratapan at a function in Thrissur during the second week of December.
Pratapan had helped to make the three-day National Mappila Kala festival held at Tripprayan in Thrissur recently a great success, he said.
Besides Rafeeq, K K Abdurahman, President of the Academy was also present at the press meet.
