The pre-paid card, launched jointly by AIIMS Patna and Bank of India, would help people pay for X-ray, ultra sound tests, pathological tests and other services, an AIIMS statement said here.
AIIMS Director J K Singh and Bank of India Executive Director R P Marathe were present on the occasion.
Marathe said similar facility was provided at AIIMS Bhubneshwar recently.
The pre-paid card can be available at the Bank of India branch at AIIMS by a payment of Rs 75 and it should be recharged by a minimum of Rs 100, the statement said.
AIIMS Director G K Singh hailed the service and said it would help people get rid of burden of carrying cash to the hospital.
The validity of the pre-paid card would be one year after which it could be renewed.
