BJP today asked its worker to start preparing for Mission 2017 with firm resolve and ensure that the party forms next government in Uttar Pradesh after the Assembly polls.
BJP National Vice-President Om Mathur, who is incharge of Uttar Pradesh, today said the basic objective could only be achieved when the people of the state get rid of misrule of Samajwadi Party government and BJP forms the next government.
Stressing that the role of a worker was always important, he said, with hard work of party workers, Mission 2017 could be achieved.
On his maiden visit here after being elevated as the party's national vice-president, Mathur congratulated BJP workers for registering new members in the state more than the target given by the party.
Mathure said workers, who displayed their organisational role during Lok Sabha elections, have once again exhibited their abilities in membership campaign.
He made an appeal to party cadres to turn new members into workers through 'Mahasampark Abhiyaan'.
Informing that BJP had planned to appoint resident workers at 1.2 lakh booths of a total of 1.4 lakh in the state, Mathur said the target of appointing resident workers at 94,000 booths has been achieved and the remaining would be completed soon.
Speaking on the occasion, state BJP President Laxmikant Bajpai, welcomed Mathur, National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya.
Bajpai said the guidance of national leaders in deciding future strategy and organisational role would benefit the party and exuded confidence that with guidance and hard work of party workers BJP would achieve the target of forming next government in Uttar Pradesh.
Accusing SP government in the state of not taking interest in central schemes, Vijayvargiya said to ensure that people get benefits of these schemes, they will have to bring BJP government in UP.
He termed those doing politics in the name of Yoga as mentally handicapped and said around 48 Islamic countries observed 'International Yoga Day'.
National secretary Mahendra Singh attacked the SP government saying that there was government of "lies and loot" in the state.
