Prices of select foodgrains fall

Prices of moong dal, gram dal and sugar declined while all other commodities ruled steady at wholesale foodgrains market here during week ended today.
Moong dal opened the week at Rs 9,900, an increase of Rs 100 per quintal from its closing rate Rs 9,800 but fell by Rs 200 on Thursday to close the week at Rs 9,700.
Opening at the same rate of Rs 3,900 gram dal remained steady till Wednesday when on Thursday it decreased by Rs 100 to close the week at Rs 3,800.
Sugar opened the week at Rs 3,200 less by Rs 50 per quintal from its closing rates Rs 3,250 to close the week at its opening rate of Rs 3,200.

Tur dal(Rs 7,300),urad dal (Rs 8,200) wheat (Rs 2400), maida(90 kg)(Rs 2,400) and sooji (90 kg) (Rs 2,500) remained unchanged at their last week's prices.
