Prince Charles picks up wooden toys

Prince Charles picked up several wooden toys, including a toy train, from some curio shops at nearby Mattancherry in Jew town today, fuelling speculation that they were for his grandson Prince George Alexander Louis.
"Prince Charles, along with wife Camilla, liked a long wooden train, four wooden cars and a wooden rattle, which was hand painted with vegetable dye," said Omana Balachandran, who runs one of the curio shops that the Royal couple visited.
George Alexander Louis is the son of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Camilla, the Dutchess of Cornwall, took a bracelet, white tea, a 'Pashmina' shawl and a papier mache candle stand from a shop housing spices, ethnic jewellery and toys.

Hundreds of onlookers wished the Prince on his birthday as the Royal couple walked down the crowded lane in Jew Town in the sweltering heat after visiting the Jewish Synagogue.
The visitors were struck by the impromptu 'Happy Birthday' songs by the onlookers. Prince Charles and Camilla accepted the greetings warmly, smiled and waved at them.

On being asked by reporters how he felt on his birthday, Prince Charles, who turned 65 today, said he was feeling 'older'.
When asked if he liked Kerala, Prince Charles said: "Very much. Very generous people, very hospitable."
Asked if he would be buying something for his grandson Prince George, he laughed it off, saying "You never know."

The Prince, commenting on the Indian summer, said: "It was very warm. My blood is not thick enough.
