A private helicopter was today impounded after it landed in Koti colony here without permission of the district administration.
The chopper was carrying tourists, District Magistrate Yugal Kishore Pant said.
The chopper had the permission to fly from Dehradun but did not have Tehri district administration's approval to land at the helipad in the town.
With the Tehri Lake Adventure Tourism Festival underway here, the officials first thought some VIP has come in the helicopter but when they went near the aircraft they found it was carrying tourists, he said.
