"Congress leaders are losing control over their language. An entire family is targeting Narendra Modi. Given the kind of language used for Narendra Modi, Priyanka Vadra should seek an apology from him. Politics should be clean. Politics should not be personalised," BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said.
He said Modi was not just the Prime Ministerial candidate of the party but was also the "choice" of the people of the country and Priyanka should apologize as she is sending a "wrong message" to the country.
Another BJP leader Arun Jaitley hit out at Priyanka for her "neech rajniti" remarks and said Congress should seek an apology for this from the whole country. He also said those who are inexperienced in politics should and must think four times before using such words.
"This is the word which she had used and particularly in the social context of India, the use of this word has to be avoided.
Priyanka had hit out at Modi yesterday, saying he had insulted her "martyred" father Rajiv Gandhi during his speech in Amethi and accused BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate of indulging in "neech rajneeti" (low-level politics).
