The administration today clamped prohibitory order under section 144, CrPc with immediate effect in the entire Kokrajhar district, official sources said.
The order was imposed apprehending law and order problem due to group clashes and communal disturbances and for maintenance of peace, the sources said.
It will remain in force until further notice.
The order prohibits carrying arms and explosives, assembly of five or more persons, use of microphones at outdoor without permission.
