Property dealer shot dead; 10 booked

A local property dealer was shot dead by a group of miscreants who allegedly raped his cousin here, police said today.
24-year-old Bilal was shot dead by ten members of a group last evening in Baniyalwala fields on Katta road here, they said.
A case has been registered against the accused identified as Pappu, Mehraj, Aazad, Nadim, Wasim and Shafakat and others, based on the testimony given by Bilal's father.
According to the police, all the accused were also involved in an attempt to rape Bilal's cousin, for which he had registered a criminal case against them in the matter.

No arrests have been made in this connection so far, officials said.
