The proposal, prepared by the Urban Development Ministry, pertained to restoring the allotment of land mostly to RSS- affiliated outfits based on the recommendations of a committee set up by Modi government to review their cancellation by the erstwhile UPA government.
Official sources confirmed that the proposal was part of the Cabinet agenda but it was not known whether there was any discussion on the issue and whether it was cleared.
