Protesters clash with security forces in Nowhatta

Stone-pelters clashed with security forces after the congregational Friday prayers in Nowhatta area here, police said.
As soon as the prayers ended, protesters took out a march from Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta area of the city toward Khanyar, a police official said.
He said they hurled stones at the security forces posted on duty to maintain law and order. The personnel retaliated by firing few tear smoke shells.
There was no report of injury to anyone, the official said.
