Protesters torch vehicles after 8-year-old dies in accident

Agitated over the death of a minor boy in a road mishap, the locals torched three vehicles near Manikala branch of Union Bank here today, a senior police official said.
Eight-year-old Shezan was killed when he was hit by a tractor while crossing the road near the bank, SP, Happy Guptan said.
Later, the irate locals set afire three vehicles, including the SUV of the bank manager and cashier's motorcycle and staged a road blockade affecting the traffic, he said.
Senior police officials, who rushed to the spot, pacify the protesters and cleared the road.
