PSPCL forms subsidiary for 1,320 MW thermal power plant

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has formed a subsidiary to expedite the work for Mukerian thermal plant, officials said here today.
PSPCL has formed Punjab Thermal Generation Limited, its 100 per cent owned subsidiary, to expedite the work for the 1,320 MW plant at Hajipur near Mukerian, an official spokesman of PSPCL said in a release here.
The responsibility for generation and distribution of electricity in the state of Punjab rests with PSPCL only, he said.
