In a letter to Vice President Hamid Ansari, Pul's wife Dangwimsai alleged that in his purported 60-page suicide note, the former chief minister had levelled "serious allegations" of corruption against them.
Pul was the chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh from February 19, 2016 to July 13, 2016. His body was found hanging in chief minister's official bungalow on August 8, 2016.
"Given the gravity of the allegations contained in the note and the fact that many of them are from his personal knowledge and that a suicide note is treated like a dying declaration, this matter needs to be seriously investigated by a credible investigation team," she said in the letter.
The letter, however, does not speak of any specific allegations.
Accompanied by lawyer-activist Prashant Bhushan and Swaraj India president Yogendra Yadav, Dangwimsai handed over the petition to the Vice President personally.
Dangwimsai had last week approached the Supreme Court demanding a CBI probe into the allegations levelled by Pul in his suicide note. She later withdrew the complaint.
